Just who is Colin Powell anyway? We've seen him as a dynamic war leader, a politician's lapdog and now as a puppeteer... apparently, he's been working behind the scenes in the fight over John Bolton's nomination to the United Nations. Whispering in the ears of republican leaders, he has privately dissed his former underling. Powell hasn't come right out and said, "Don't approve Bolton." but in classic realpolitik, he's been quoted as saying Bolton is, "a man who was challenging to work with on personnel and policy matters" - challenging?? Let me translate that for you - Bolton is a horse's ass that nobody wants to work for or with. This is the face Dubya wants to put in front of the world body? (story) Hahahahahaaaaa....

On a completely different note (Champy take notice!) glaciers in the Antarctic are retreating at an increasing rate, in what scientists said on Thursday was a clear sign of climate change! A study last year found that the ice cap was half the thickness it was 30 years ago and a tenth smaller. Anyone want to go watch "The Day After Tomorrow" again - you know, the one where the northern hemishphere turns into a gigantic popsicle?! (story)
