"What the caterpillar calls the end of life, wise men call a butterfly."
Tom DeLay
Since everybody in Washington these days has to get a label, I have a new label for House majority leader Tom DeLay - "The Eveready Ingnoramus Bunny."
"We've got Justice Kennedy writing decisions based upon international law, not the Constitution of the United States? That's just outrageous," DeLay told Fox News Radio on Tuesday. "And not only that, but he said in session that he does his own research on the Internet? That is just incredibly outrageous." Does his own research on the Internet?! I guess DeLay has never heard of Westlaw and Lexis.
BTW, in case you've forgotten, Kennedy was appointed to the Supreme Court by President Reagan. DeLay has been increasingly critical of the Supreme Court, but his crticisms shine a spotlight on his own ignorance!
"The judiciary has become so activist and so isolated from the American people that it's our job to" hold the federal judiciary accountable for its decisions. Isolated from the American people?! ROTFL
One way to do that would be for the House Judiciary Committee to investigate the clause in the Constitution that says "judges can serve as long as they serve with good behavior," DeLay said. "We want to define what good behavior means. And that's where you have to start."
To DeLay and the neocons, "good behavior" means doing whatever they want, not what's Constitutional or within the law. Mr. DeLay needs to take another free trip complements of the American people - right down the river...
