Dear Jim,

Things are upbeat here in Boston. The Democratic National Convention is on and everyone here is determined to send George Bush packing.

It is amazing to see how much of a presence Democracy for America has here. I see so many familiar faces. You helped set the agenda for the Democratic Party and it shows on the streets and halls of Boston this week.

Tomorrow night I have the privilege of speaking to the Convention. I will talk about how far our party has come in the last two years and how crucial this election will be to the future of our country. I will talk about John Kerry and make it clear that he is the man who will bring the fundamental change we need to right our course.

I want you to know that as I stand on the podium tomorrow night I will not be there because of anything I did. I am here because of you. Together we have built a real force for change and I am deeply grateful that you have let me be a part of it.

This week is just the beginning. We are going to take all our passion and all our skills and put them to work from now until November. And we will win.
