All Quiet on the Iraqi Front
A suicide bomber steered his car into an Iraqi police patrol south of Baghdad late Thursday night, killing four officers, and three bomb attacks in the capital wounded at least nine people on Friday, Iraqi officials said. The attacks followed two deadly car bombings in the capital on Thursday morning, and extended the recent surge of violence.
The US military on Friday announced the deaths of two American marines. One was killed Wednesday by enemy mortar fire at an American base near Hit, near the Syrian border. The other was killed Thursday by small arms fire in Ramadi, west of the capital.
Don't forgt the American contractor who appeared as a hostage in a videotape last week, Donald Rumsfeld anxiously awaits word of his fate.
