I was playing around yesterday with the "invite a friend" function and one response was, "What's a Blog?" So in response:

A blog is a "web log" - basically a piece of virtual
plywood onto which one writes random musings and
screed. Some are squirrelly others sacrosanct but at
its lowest, it's a place to write and for others to
read. Blogs are a disruptive technology or are they?
Seems to me blogs are an extension of the web's
promise of self-publishing for the masses. Anyone can
have a voice.
