What amazes me the most about the Bush administration’s “foreign policy” is its lack of consistency. George Jr. is perfectly willing to sacrifice the lives of servicemen in the name of stopping an evil dictator’s possible development of “weapons of mass destruction.” But when another evil dictator threatens in an open manner the testing of nuclear weapons there’s a deafening silence.

Maybe Iraq with its huge oil reserves was too inviting a target? Maybe North Korea with its abject poverty doesn’t have enough fruit to be plucked?
